Winter Glow Makeup Tutorial
I think you're going to love this Winter Glow makeup tutorial. If you watched the video I posted on Instagram a few days ago, the look is similar. This is usually the time of year when I like to freshen up my look with a few glowing products. I focused on glowing skin with soft shades of rose, berries and peach on the eyes and lips.
I love this makeup primer because it adds a beautiful glow to the face. It has an interesting texture..it's not sticky, but it has a "grip" to it that I like. I massage this into skin before applying foundation. Shout out to Fab Fit Fun for including this in their latest box–awesome find!
Koh Gen Do is a smaller niche brand that's sold at Neiman Marcus and a few boutique retailers. The formula is loaded with hydrating oils so it's an excellent option for dry skin. The creamy texture is a medium coverage which I find still looks natural and skin-like. It's often challenging to get a medium coverage foundation that still looks natural on the skin yet this formula nails it!
A staple in both my personally and professional makeup kit. I tend to switch up my concealers during the week depending on whether or not I need to color correct dark circles and/or puffiness. This concealer always delivers.
A gorgeous palette including the famous ambient lighting powders from hourglass ,which essentially add a soft glow to the skin. It also has two blush shades and a bronzer. If you missed this holiday set, don't worry–you can't go wrong with the individual shades from the brand. *Thanks, Hourglass for sending this over for me to test!
Here we go again with another "can't miss" eyeshadow palette from Nars! Ugh, they've nailed it again. I'm loving this shade range for creating a glowing Winter look. It also screams Valentine's day to me, too. If you're interested, get it now (it's limited edition). LOVE.
I picked up the new brow pencil from Hourglass at Sephora over the holidays. It has a thin tip to sketch definition into the brow without it looking too heavy or over-filled.
I haven't had eyelash extensions in months, so any extra boost I can get, you bet, I'm going to take it!
I keep going back to this mascara. It's volumizing and thickening in all the right ways. It also doesn't smudge.
I've been using liquid liner to create added depth to the lash line. As I explain in the video, I apply the liner under the eyelashes. This liquid formula was developed by Lada Gaga's makeup artist. Very happy to report once it dries, it doesn't move!
I've been loving this gorgeous berry red lipstick. For a stain, I apply the lipstick onto my finger pad then press the color onto the lips.
